Though being a holy town, Tirupati has a host of nature parks and theme parks for your entertainment. These parks provide wholesome entertainment to the entire family.
A nature park developed by the Forest Department at Kapila Theertham is named as ‘Jungle Book’. The purpose of developing such nature park is to educate people about the nature, forests, life process and the eco-system. The park is near the forest of Tirumala.
The estimated cost of the park is millions of rupees in today’s date. The park is manged by Tirupati Wildlife Management Circle.
Jungle Book has been divided into eight zones. The “Naturest” zone has a nature trail path and with attached huts for visitors. The “Insectarium and Termitarium” are the zones where you will find termite mounds and insect specimens. The information board gives the details of all the creatures of Jungle.
The other zone is “Rock Thrills” which has hare burrows, panther dens, and rock formations that adds a little adventure in the visit. “Mineral Kingdom” is another zone that showcases the geological formation of the Tirumala hills. “Malavadigundam” is the fifth zone where the breath-taking waterfall is a habitat of “golden gecko”, the endangered lizard. “Bird’s eye view” is a zone which is at the highest spot and has a telescope. The city and the forest can be viewed from this point.
“Gundalacheruvu” tank zone has boating facility. This helps the visitor view the wet lands and life on wet land. The last zone of the Jungle Book is “Birds paradise”.

Municipal Park in Tirupati
The municipal park is located in Tirupati. One can enjoy the gentle, cool air and natural beauty in the park. There is a multi-color water fountain at the entrance and a sculpture of Lord Shiva is placed at the center. The park also includes skating ground for kids. Special program is organized on every Sunday. These programs are organized and managed by the management. Different programs are organized displaying performances of different artists the programs include Dance, Songs, Mimicry, etc.
How to reach
The park is located at a distance of 2kms from bus stand which can be covered in 10min, from Railway Station it is at a distance of 3kms and from Alipiri it is at a distance of 5kms.

Grandworld Water Park in Tirupati
A multi Dimensional Theme Park and Hotel “Grand World Water Park” has numerous water rides and several other indoor and outdoor activities. The Egyptian theme based landscape enhances the beauty of the place. The water rides include body slides, wave pool, tube rides, aqua bowl, boomerang, kids and family pool. The other amusements include Haunted house, bumper cars, Go-Karting, Video games, laser shows and Movie simulators.

Shilpagram - The Urban Hut
Shilpagram is a place developed and managed by the state government. The Urban Hut is a place which gives the traditional handicraft makers a platform to display their skills. The concept of the Shilpagram is to give craftsmen from all over India to display their art which continues for whole year. The art, craft, music so displayed in the Urban Hut helps the rural people or village people in getting their art work recognized.
